The Zizzers traveled to Rolla to take on the 7th Ranked Bulldogs. Rolla got on the scoreboard three times in the first half, scoring in the 7th, 19th, and 33rd minutes. The Zizzers played hard in the first half, but their play improved in the second half. More effort and teamwork in the second half saw the Zizzers move the ball better and defend better. Rolla took a 4-0 lead in the 18th minute of the half. The Zizzers got a goal back two minutes later as Logan Jeffery found the net after some good work fighting off a couple of Bulldog defenders. Rolla would score twice more, in the 25th and 38th minutes of the half. Despite the 6-1 score, the Zizzers played a much better game than they did on Monday against Marshfield. We are making some progress defensively and working as a team.

In the JV game, Rolla scored in the 4th minute. The Bulldogs had a number of chances after that. Some of those chances bounced off the post or were grabbed by Philip Sheridan. Then in the 13th minute, Rolla took a 2-0 lead. That seemed to open the floodgates. The Bulldogs added goals in the 16th, 17th, 19th, and 26th. In the second half, Rolla would add two more goals, scoring in the 23rd and 31st minutes.

Next up is the Parkview Tournament Friday and Saturday. The Zizzers will face Missouri Military Academy at 1:45pm on Friday at JFK Stadium. On Saturday, the Zizzers will face Lebanon at 10:00am and Carthage at 12:00pm. Both games Saturday will be on the turf at Kickapoo High School.
