The Zizzers traveled to Kickapoo for an Ozark Conference match against the Chiefs. The Chiefs possessed the ball well, but the Zizzers hung in and defended as a team. As the game went on, the Zizzers got a little more comfortable on the ball and were able to create a few scoring chances. The game was 0-0 at halftime. The second half was more of the same. The Chiefs were able to open the scoring in the 15th minute of the second half. The goal came after a short corner kick and then a cross sent into the box where a Chief player got up and headed the ball into the corner of the goal. The Zizzers kept working and had a couple of chances to tie the game in the last few minutes, with one shot just missing wide of the goal. The Chiefs added a second goal with just 15 seconds left in the game for a final score of 2-0. The Zizzers played a good game. The effort was great!

In the JV game, the Chiefs opened the scoring in the 12th minute and added another in the 20th minute. The Zizzers then started marking up better defensively. The halftime score was 2-0. In the second half, the Zizzers held tough until the final twelve minutes of the game. Kickapoo scored four goals in the final twelve minute to take a 6-0 victory.

Next up will be games at home on Thursday against the Ozark Tigers. This will be our “Pink Out” game. We will have a silent auction and we will be accepting donations. Proceeds will go to the Ozarks Medical Center Cancer Foundation. JV will start at 5:00pm followed by the Varsity game.
