The Zizzers came hosted the Waynesville Tigers in an Ozark Conference match on Tuesday. The Zizzers came out and possessed the ball well and created some chances. In the 17th minute, Layne Sporleder got the Zizzers on the board with a goal on a direct free kick. The score would remain 1-0 through the first half. In the third minute of the second half, Waynesville broke in on goal and Daniel Sesay tied the game at 1-1. Neither team was able to break the tie until the final minute of regulation. This time it was Sesay again who ended up in front of the goal and he put his shot in the net with 42 seconds left on the clock.The final score was 2-1 in favor of the Tigers. There are some things we can build on like the ball possession and the scoring chances we created.

In the JV game, The Tigers got on top with a goal in the 16th minute that went high over the Zizzer keeper for a 1-0 lead. The Zizzers would tie the game in the 27th minute on a shot by Nic Barraza. The Tigers regained the lead in the 31st minute and then made it 3-1 in the 42nd minute. The Zizzers tied the game with two goal in less than a minute. In the 61st minute of play, Seth Stiles broke in on goal and sent a shot past the keeper to make it 3-2. 51 seconds later, Tyler Ford sent a left footed shot from 20 yards out into the corner of the goal to tie the game at 3-3. That is how the game would end. This was a nice comeback for the Zizzers as they continued working hard throughout the game.

Next up will be home games against Branson on Thursday, September 10. JV will kickoff at 4:30pm followed by the Varsity.
