The Lady Zizzer soccer season came to a close on Saturday as Hillcrest beat West Plains 10-0 in District play. The girls played hard and had some of their best ball movement of the season, making some good runs and good passes. The Hillcrest defense kept the Lady Zizzers from getting dangerous balls in front of the goal. The Lady Zizzers struggles were on defense. Hillcrest was able to find the open players and convert that into goals. Hillcrest’s speed caused problems for the Lady Zizzers as well. Hillcrest scored 6 times in the first half and then added 4 more goals in the first ten minutes of the second half to get the win. This was the last game for Lady Zizzer Senior Lindsay Randolph and she went out with one of her best efforts. Thanks Lindsay! The Lady Zizzers other Senior, Jada Hansmann, did not play due to an injury. Patsy Moss, Tayler Smith, Emily Riggs, Felicity Finley, Mikenzie Lambe, Ripley Martin, Alex Wehmeier, McKenzie Burtrum, Andrea Schmitt, Megan Biggers, and Rachel Marcak all played hard. I was proud of their effort. Thanks girls.

We graduate two seniors and our foreign exchange student, Marie Vanderelst. We hope to have a large group of players back next season. We improved from the beginning of the season and with a commitment to make ourselves better in the offseason, we hope to have a better season next Spring. This was an enjoyable group of girls to work with.
