The Rolla Bulldogs came to town on Tuesday to face the Zizzers in Ozark Conference soccer action. Rolla opened the scoring in the 11th minute scoring at the far post after a long ball that came all the way across the field. The score would be 1-0 at halftime. Rolla scored in the first minute of the second half and took the wind out of the Zizzers sails. The Bulldogs added a goal in the 55th minute and then scored again in the 56th minute on a Penalty Kick. Another Penalty Kick in the 60th minute put Rolla ahead 5-0. In the 61st minute, the Bulldogs added their 6th goal. The effort in the first half for the Zizzers was good. There were some things we could have done better, but the effort was there. In the second half, we got down a little bit and didn’t play as hard as we could.
In the JV game, Rolla came out on top 5-0. The Zizzers came out slow and didn’t have a great first half. In the second half, the effort was much better. Rolla scored in the 2nd, 3rd, 16th, and 29th minutes in the first half. Better defensive work limited Rolla to one goal in the 2nd half. That goal came in the 65th minute.
Next up for the Zizzers will be games against Logan-Rogersville at Home on Thursday. JV kicks off at 4:30pm.
