The Zizzers battled the Rolla Bulldogs to a scoreless tie through the first 40 minutes of action on Monday night. Rolla had the better of the possession in the half, but the Zizzers were able to move the ball better than they did in their previous match against the Bulldogs. Even with the better ball movement, the Zizzers weren’t able to capitalize and put the ball in the net.

Rolla jumped on top in the 42nd minute as Aaron Froelich tapped in a shot from close range that ended up in the middle of the box after a Bulldogs throw-in. Four minutes later, Kory Carter worked his way through the Zizzer defense and slipped a ball into the net to make it 2-0. West Plains tried to make a game of it. The Zizzers had some opportunities, but couldn’t turn them into dangerous chances. Rolla added an insurance goal in the 76th minute as West Plains got caught with everybody pushed forward on a corner kick. Christopher Wharton raced in on goal and beat Forrest Wilson to make it 3-0. That would be the Final score as Rolla advances to the Championship Match on Wednesday at 6:00pm. They will face the Camdenton Lakers who knocked off Waynesville 2-1. Waynesville opened the scoring in the 47th minute, but Camdenton leveled things in the 49th minute. The game winner came in the 61st minute.

The Zizzers finish the season with a 6-19-0 record. It’s always tough when a season comes to a close. Change can be difficult. Some people will be moving on and others will regroup and work toward next season. What we will remember are the the hard work we put in, the friendships we made, and all the fun along the way. Keep your heads up Zizzers, nothing to be ashamed of. Be Proud of your Family!
