The Red won the scrimmage tonight 6-2. Red Scored 5 Goals in the first half. Justyn Biggers opened the scoring. Brodie Bender scored on a Penalty Kick in the 17th minute. Ethan Hunt scored three consecutive Goals to make it 5-0 at the half. Logan Huff scored the 6th Goal for Red. Zack Dixon got the White team on the board making it 6-1. White made it 6-2 when a Red player knocked a cross into their own goal.
A lot of good things were happening tonight from crosses to finishing to good saves and good defense. We were also able to see some areas where we really need to improve. The scrimmage served it’s purpose and everybody got to play in a game-like situation. We have a week left to get ready for the first game against the Crocker Lions. Although Crocker is a Class 1 school, they will be a good team and should be good preparation for our Ozark Conference opener at Camdenton on August 31. Camdenton is the defending Ozark Conference Champions having gone 9-0 in the OC last season.
