Kicking Cancer Challenge Event – Car Wash

As part of the Lady Zizzer Soccer Team’s Cancer Awareness and Fundraising program, the girls held a car wash at Hirsch Feed on Saturday. A big ‘Thank You’ to Hirsch Feed for letting us use their facility, to Jim at KDY who came out and got his truck washed and did a phone-in while he was there, and to all the people who came out to get their vehicles washed and made a donation.

The car wash and bake sale brought in $517.03. The money will go to the American Cancer Society along with other money raised by the girls. This event is part of the Kicking Cancer Challenge between the Lady Zizzers and the Camdenton Lady Lakers.

We’ll find out on Tuesday, which team is able to raise more money and what the consequences will be for the ‘losers’. Be sure to join us for the games on Tuesday and wear your ‘Kicking Cancer’ T-shirt if you have one.

The JV match will start at 4:30pm. With the Varsity game and special events to follow. There will also be a speaker that evening in the cafeteria. Three special Select The Cure Game Balls will be used and then auctioned off after the game. Come out and bid on the balls and support a great cause. It should be a wonderful night.
