Former Zizzer Soccer standout, Stuart Ziegler, and the Medaille College Mavericks have qualified for the NCAA Division III National Soccer Tournament after defeating Penn State-Behrend 1-0 in the AMCC Tournament Final on Saturday evening. This will be the 4th time in 5 years that Medaille has advanced to the NCAA Tournament. The tournament field will be announced today (Sunday 11/8) and the bracket will be posted on NCAA.com at 9:00am on Monday (11/9).
Ziegler, a Sophomore (Transferred from Missouri Southern State University) Midfielder, has played in all 21 Games for the Mavericks, scoring 6 Goals (Tied for 5th on the team) and adding 9 Assists (2nd on the team). The Mavericks, 17-2-2 on the season, claimed their 5th straight undefeated Regular season AMCC championship and their 4th AMCC Tournament Title in 5 years.
