The Missouri State Bears (12-3-2, 7-1-1 MVC) captured their 3rd Missouri Valley Conference Regular Season Soccer Title on Wednesday by defeating Evansville 1-0. Former Zizzer, Nick Dryden, started and played the full 90 minutes.
The Bears, who also won MVC Titles in 1997 and 1999, have one Regular Season game left at Easern Illinois on Saturday. The Bears will be the #1 Seed for the MVC Tournament next weekend in Des Moines, IA. Their opponent has yet to be determined.

Update – Due to a personnel tragedy in the athletics department at Eastern Illinois University, the men’s soccer match between Missouri State and EIU, scheduled for Saturday afternoon, has been cancelled along with all other athletic events on the Charleston, Ill., campus.
The game will officially be recorded as a “no contest,” and it will not be rescheduled.
