The Harrison Lady Goblins came to town on Thursday for a game that was rescheduled from last Tuesday due to rain. The Lady Zizzers played much better defensively in this game, something that was the focus of Wednesday’s practice. Positioning and playing as a unit was an improvement. After a scoreless first half. Harrison scored the game’s only goal in the 5th minute of the second half. Callie Jones was able to fight off Lady Zizzer sweeper, Cara Trautman, and fired a shot on goal. The shot caught West Plains goalkeeper, Jamie Brassfield, off balance and gave the Lady Goblins a 1-0 lead. West Plains was able to create a couple of scoring opportunities, but couldn’t make anything out of them. Harrison’s defense was able to shtdown the Zizzer offense and took the victory.
