KC Wizards Exhibition against Missouri State Bears

Monday evening the Kansas City Wizards visited Springfield to take on the MSU Bears in an exhibition match. The Wizards got two quick goals and that would be all they would need to beat the Bears. The first goal came on a header by Ryan Pore. A few minutes later Yura Movsisyan scored the eventual game winner.
The Bears were able to get a goal of their own from Omar Shoucair in the second half. That’s how the game would end, 2-1 in favor of the Wizards. The second half was a better half offensively for the Bears, as they were able to generate a few more chances.
Former Zizzer, Nick Dryden (# 18 in white, pictured above), started the game at Center Back for the Bears and played the entire 90 minutes. I thought Nick played a good game. It was the first time I have been able to see him play in a Bears uniform. I look forward to seeing him some more this Fall.

Overall the Bears played better than they did last year in the Wizards game. They came out a little slow at first which cost them two quick scores and the loss. I thought the defense was unbelieveable in the second half. It’s obvious Lance Parker is one of the best goalies in D-I.
I agree. I thought the Wizards speed took the Bears a little while to get use to. After that I thought they played well. Lance Parker made some great saves and the Defense played well.
