Tryouts for the 2007 WPHS Lady Zizzer Soccer Team have been completed. This years teams will include 33 players, including 18 players returning from last years JV and Varsity Teams. The teams will include 3 Seniors (Kristin Herron, Tiffany Vincent, and Alina Perfilieva – our exchnage student from Ukraine), 4 Juniors (Jamie Brassfield, Ashlie Conley, Michelle Esterle, and Audi Morrison ), 14 Sophomores (Brianna Callahan, January Huff, Kristin Huff, Beth Kittle, Sam Murray, Emily Phillips, Mollie Plocher, Emma Ray, Lily Roberts, Ariel Ruch, Kalie Simpkins, Cara Trautman, Dani Valade, and Megan Walker), and 12 Freshmen (Amy Armstrong, Monique Krueger, Alexandria Lawson, Megan Lowe, Tiffany Mann, Ashley Martin, Katie Shannon, Rachel Skelly, Kelly Smith, Kaley Vance, Courtney Weaver and Audrey Williams).
The Varsity will open the season March 19 at Home against the Mountain Home, AR Lady Bombers. By that time Mountain Home is scheduled to have played 8 games already. In Arkansas, High Schools can begin playing soccer matches around the first week of February. The first JV game will come on March 20 as JV and Varsity will take on Parkview.
