We’re Back Up and Running

There was a problem yesterday with the site. I screwed it up trying to fix the error message at the bottom of the left hand column. Steve ‘Ole’ Olson fixed my screw up. Still trying to find out how to fix the error message. Everything except the links sections is working fine though. Thanks Steve.

Soccer Camp Form Correction

The WPHS Soccer Camp Form has a mistake on it. The camp listed as

Boys entering Grades 2-4 July 23-27 , July 30-31 9:00am-Noon
This camp will stress fundamentals and group tactics through individual and small-sided games.

Should actuallay read like this.

Boys entering Grades 9-12 July 23-27 , July 30-31 9:00am-Noon
This camp will stress fundamentals and group tactics through individual and small-sided games.

Sorry for the mistake and thanks to David Evans for catching it. I have made the change on the form on the Parent Informantion Page.

Parent Information Page

I have added a Parent Information Page to the Page Links in the left hand column. I will put information there for parents. Any pieces of information that we send home with the players will also be placed on that page. That way if it doesn’t make it home, you can still get the info. Or if you misplace it you can go back and find it again. Hope this helps.

Missouri State University Team Camps

It is time to start thinking about summer soccer camps. For the past 9 summers the Zizzer Soccer Team has attended the Team Camp at Missouri State University. Last year for the first time the Lady Zizzer Soccer Team attended Team Camp at MSU as well. The experiences have been very beneficial for our players.

The camps give players a chance to train together and play competitive matches against a variety of opponents from Missouri and other states. Players are also exposed to college coaches from several colleges (Junior Colleges, NAIA, NCAA Division I, and NCAA Division II colleges are generally represented).

There is also the opportunity for players to bond with each other as they are together for parts of 4 days and 3 nights.

We would hope that we would have enough interest to continue attending MSU Team Camps. The dates for this year’s Team Camps are:

Girl’s Team Camp: June 22-25, 2007
Boy’s Team Camp: July 18-21, 2007

We will have a meeting soon to gauge interest. If you know of anyone that will be a Freshman next year and would be interested in attending, have them contact Coach Schmitt.
