The Sikeston Bulldogs traveled to West Plains to take on the Zizzers today. The Zizzers came out and moved the ball well for the first 20 minutes of the game. Then the wheels fell off. Things got a lot quieter and there was enough movement off the ball. The Zizzers still controlled most of the play, but allowed Sikeston to move into striking distance a few times. The Zizzers had 7 Corner Kicks in the game to 0 for Sikeston. The Zizzers outshot Sikeston 15 to 2. But the only stat that matters is the score. Sikeston won that one, 1-0. The Sikeston goal came in the 71st minute when the Zizzers failed to clear a ball out. The ball bounced around a couple of times, then Timmy Hart found the corner of the net with his shot.
The Zizzers failed to capitalize on numerous opportunities in the game and were shutout for only the second time all season. The Zizzer record drops to 13-3-2. Next up is a home game against Joplin on Tuesday.
In JV action, the Zizzers did everything but finish. Sikeston won that game 1-0 also. The goal coming midway through the second half.

Three of the fifteen teams we played are called the Bulldogs. Honestly, schools need to get more original names like us.
Got a problem with the name Bulldogs? My high school and college were both the Bulldogs. Oh, I guess that kind of proves your point.
I’ve got you both beat. I teach for a school with the bulldogs mascot and two other teams in our own conference are bulldogs
