6th Annual Lady Zizzer Soccer Classic Update

The 6th Annual West Plains Lady Zizzer Soccer Classic will be held April 24-25, 2009. We are excited to announce some changes to this seasons tournament. This year we have expanded the tournament from 8 teams to 10 teams (and we still had to turn away a couple of other schools). This year’s field will include:

Affton Cougars from St. Louis
Cape Central Tigers from Cape Girardeau
Liberty Eagles from Mountain View
Moberly Spartans
Nettleton Raiders from Jonesboro AR - coached by former Zizzer Julie Long
Parkview Vikings
Sikeston Bulldogs
Valley View Blazers from Jonesboro, AR
Waynesville Tigers
West Plains Zizzers

We will not be using Carmical Field this year. Instead we will be using the WPHS Football Field in addition thw the WPHS Soccer Field. This will give us two lighted fields and give us concession stands and good restrooms at both fields and keeps everything in close proximity.

The schedule of games is in the process of being completed now that the field of teams is set. We think this will be our best tournament yet, so mark your calendars.
